FAIR on CNN's Sanjay Gupta as Surgeon General
Since CNN Health Correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, was announced as a nominee for the Surgeon General post last week, the media and Congress has expressed mixed feelings about him taking on the position. Gupta has been called out for his inaccurate portrayal of the American health care system when discussing McCain's health plan and for his response to Michael Moore's documentary SICKO, claiming Moore had "fudged facts," when in fact both Gupta and CNN were wrong. Tonight, Isabel Macdonald of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) joins us to discuss Gupta's nomination and the way media cover health care in the US.

India-Israel Relations in light of the Gaza War
Last Thursday, India's PM Manmohan Singh condemned Israel's military aggression in Gaza, in favor of dialogue and sympathy for the Palestinian people. Yet historically, India has had a more complicated relationship with Israel. India is a major importer of Israeli arms and last fall, received counter-terrorism advice from Israeli military intelligence. How does the current crisis in Gaza, complicate India's role in the region? And what does it indicate about future relations between the two countries? Historian and activist, Vijay Prashad, joins us tonight to shed some light on this issue.
