SPECIAL HOUR: "What is Tuz?" Storytelling from the Queer Arab Diaspora

"What is Tuz?" Storytelling from the Queer Arab Diaspora

Tonight we devote the entire hour to airing stories from the queer Arab diaspora, recorded live from the March edition of Queer Memoir - an NYC-based storytelling event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and gender nonconforming community. Queer Memoir provides a space to share queer experiences, preserve and document queer history, and celebrate the ritual and community-building value of storytelling. This edition of Queer Memoir was guest-curated by Nadia Awad, a founding member of the Arab Queer Collective. Tune in to hear stories on the theme, "What is Tuz?" from these first-times storytellers from across the Arab diaspora - including, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, and Staten Island!
